Educatifu Polish — Privacy Policy
Free • Works offline • No adverts • Account optional

You can use the whole course without an account, and if you do, nothing you do in the app ever leaves your phone. An account exists for one reason: so your progress survives changing phone. Signing in is the only thing that causes any data to be sent anywhere.
What we collect
If you do not create an account: nothing. No sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reporting. The app makes no network requests at all and we have no way of knowing you are using it.
If you create an account, two things:
- Your email address and password. Used only to sign you in. The password is never stored by us or sent to us in readable form — it is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Your learning progress. Which lessons you have completed, your scores, XP, current level, and where you left off. Nothing about the content of your answers beyond a score.
What we never collect
- Your name, age, gender, address, or phone number.
- Your location.
- Your contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera.
- Advertising identifiers, or anything used to profile or track you.
- Analytics of any kind — we do not know which lessons are popular, how long you spend in the app, or whether you opened it today.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, and there is no third-party advertising or analytics code in the app.
Data stored on your phone
Your progress and settings are saved on the device itself. This happens whether or not you have an account, and it is what makes the app work offline. Uninstalling the app removes it. Android's own backup service may include app data if you have that enabled in your Google account settings — that is controlled by you, in Android, not by us.
When data leaves your phone
Only while you are signed in. In that case your progress is uploaded after you finish a lesson, and downloaded and merged with what is on the phone when you sign in. If the upload fails, nothing breaks: the copy on your phone is the one that counts, and the app carries on working offline.
Sign out and nothing further is sent.
Where it is stored
We use Google Firebase as the backend. Specifically:
- Progress is stored in Cloud Firestore in Google's
europe-west3region, which is Frankfurt, Germany — inside the EU. - Account details (your email address and the stored form of your password) are handled by Firebase Authentication. Google may process these outside the EU under its own terms and standard contractual clauses. We state this plainly rather than implying everything is in the EU, because the two services differ.
Access is restricted by security rules so that a signed-in learner can read and write their own progress and nobody else's.
Your data, and deleting it
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to its processing. For this app the practical routes are:
- Delete everything: in the app, open the menu → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and the progress stored with it. Progress saved on your phone is not touched; uninstalling removes that.
- Stop syncing without deleting: sign out. Nothing further is sent, and what has already been stored can be removed by signing back in and deleting the account.
- Anything else — a copy of your data, a correction, or a question — email us and we will deal with it.
The legal basis for processing is your consent, given by choosing to create an account. There is no legitimate-interest processing and no profiling.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. There is no separate retention schedule because there is nothing else stored: no logs of your activity, no history of previous values, no backups kept beyond Google's own operational ones.
Children
The app itself is suitable for any age — it teaches Polish and contains nothing else. Accounts are a different matter: because signing up involves an email address, we ask that anyone under 16 has a parent or guardian set up and agree to the account. The course works fully without one.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change ever means collecting something new, it will be described here before it happens rather than after.
